The Post & Beam home gives you a perfect
balance between the two building styles, Post & beam is a more
cost effective way to build compared to full Log Walls
Works begin on cutting the post to length and
grooving the post for wall lining
We are able to assemble the roof structure of the
ground in our yard prior to transportation
this is a great benefit for us to check
everything is ready before we go
The builder who was contracted by the owners to
finish this home came to our yard whilst the roof structure was on
the ground and pre framed the gable ends
Installing the drip capping and treated pine
base
standing up and bracing the post prior to placing
the top plates
Now we can install the top plates
Nice joinery
Fits like a glove
Now we erect the roof structure and place the pre
made gable end frames
Almost there
Roof in now on and we have put all the tie down
brackets in place using a dyna bolt to the concrete slab and a
coach screw into the post
Also we attach the post to the top plate to stop
uplift
All finished
Now the builder starts to put the roof on
